Business travellers are traditionally so busy that they simply have no time for observing local places of interest and getting acquainted with heritage. Especially for these people Geneva-based Global Hotel Alliance has prepared the program that includes mini-tours with an average length of 2 hours.
The program can be reached through the GHA Discovery program for loyal clients. The name of the program is “GHA Discovery Experience Express” and it is prepared for local hotels that are listed in the program.
Currently such mini-tours are prepared or already available in Anantara hotels in Bangkok, where they feature visiting of the famous Tuk Tuk temple; Mirvac hotels in Australia offer aroma facial; Kempinski hotels in Russia will offer guests to try vodka at the rooftop; and, finally, Marco Polo hotels in China have prepared cycling along the Yangtze River. As the program develops, the hotels participating may offer around 100 different speedy activities for busy travellers that include food, history, fashion and other experiences.
The mentioned activities can also be reached through Experience Express awards. The award depends on the membership level with most exclusive tours and activities reserved for members of higher levels.
As the CEO of Global Hotel Alliance Chris Hartley says, business travellers often see only airport, hotel and office. He is also a frequent business traveller and he has thought many times of having some spare time and devoting it to fun and cultural experiences.
