The UK hotelier Rocco Forte Hotels has announced the opening of the flagship hotel in Abu Dhabi. This is going to be the first property in the Middle East as well. Rocco Forte will act as a managing organization, while the owner of the hotel is Al Farida Investments Co. LLC.
The 281-key Rocco Forte Hotel Abu Dhabi will feature the largest Spa center in the city. To the service of visitors are three restaurants and numerous business and leisure facilities. The hotel will be located in the commercial district of Abu Dhabi. The design of this accommodation is a mix of futuristic trends and modern classics – the hotel is located in a 10-story tower made in a wave-shape. The facade of the building is decorated with blue and green glass. Rocco Forte Hotel Abu Dhabi will be surrounded by gardens and the hotel is adjacent to the gallery with shopping boutiques.
As Rocco Forte, CEO and Chairman of the company, says, the opening of the hotel in Abu Dhabi is the response to demand of the hotelier’s clients. The company already has 13 hotels in Europe and feels the need to expand its sphere of interests. Abu Dhabi is one of the emerging markets in the Middle East, so the company has decided to choose this city for the flagship hotel in the region. The company doesn’t plan to stop here and foresees other properties to open in the UAE.
The next projects by Rocco Forte in the region include the 146-key hotel in Jeddah scheduled for opening in 2013, a golf resort in Marrakesh that will open in 2014, and two properties in Egypt – the 275-key hotel in Cairo and the 82-key hotel in Luxor, both opening in 2014.
