Shangrli-La Asia Ltd. has recently opened one more accommodation in China. The 235-key Shangri-La Hotel in Manzhouli is located not far away from the country’s border with Russia. The hotels by this brand are targeted to upscale travellers. This is the third hotel for Shangri-La in Inner Mongolia. Earlier the company has opened hotels in Baotou and Huhhot.
However, the new accommodation is just the beginning of the grandiose plans of Shangri-La. The company plans to add 20 more hotels in China to its portfolio. The new properties will be opened in mainland China and will operate under Shangri-La, Kerry and Traders flags. The hotelier, which is headquartered in Hong Kong, already has 32 hotels in this country.
The newly opened accommodation in Manzhouli is an 18-story building designed by Eva Wan Studio. The hotel’s lobby features the look of a traditional Mongolian yurt. The rooms of the hotel are decorated with Soft furnishings in Chinese and Mongolian styles. Hotel rooms are feature magnificent views of Xiaobei Lake.
Hotel’s facilities include a lounge bar, three restaurants, a 25-m large indoor swimming pool, the largest health club in the city (1,286 sq. m.) and meeting and business space of 4,000 sq. m. The restaurants in the hotel include Shang Palace (a 216 seat restaurant with private rooms specializing in Chinese cuisine), Café 99 (a dining venue for up to 146 attendants), the lobby lounge with floor to ceiling windows for 80 visitors, and Salt and Bread (a Russian cuisine restaurant, scheduled for opening in June).
