Radisson Edwardian, one of the most famous and powerful privately owned hoteliers of the UK, continues strengthening its positions in England. The company has announced the opening of a hotel in Guildford. The accommodation is scheduled for opening in September 2011.
The hotel is built on the basis of the famous White Horse Hotel. This is the collaboration between Radisson Edwardian, Marcol and Nicolas James Group. The total building costs estimate £60 million.
Once opened, the 185-key property will feature two bars, two restaurants and a terrace for dining. A stand-alone restaurant on the territory of Radisson Edwardian Guildford will be opened later. It will have a separate entrance and will serve pan-Asian menu. The main restaurant will be located inside the hotel and it will be specializing in British cuisine. The majority of ingredients will be purchased from local suppliers.
With such wide choice of dining options it is clear the hotel will target itself not only as an accommodation for travellers. According to the company’s marketing department, currently there are many high quality dining facilities in Guildford, but the hotelier hopes to offer something really new and appealing, so many local people will enjoy dining at Radisson Edwardian on a regular basis.
Other facilities of the hotel include a Spa center, a fitness center with gym, a steam room, and a sauna. Business facilities of the hotel are represented by meeting and event space for 400 people.
Currently Radisson Edwardian owns 13 hotels in London, Manchester and other cities of the UK.
