Hyatt Launches Its Place Brand in Europe

Hyatt’s select-service brand Hyatt Place is to debut in Europe with a property in the Netherlands. According to the recent news Hyatt Hotels Corp. will open Hyatt Place hotel in Amsterdam Airport.

The property is yet under construction. The owner of the future hotel is Hillgate Properties NV. The company expects to open the 330-key accommodation located just near Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in 2013. The exact location of the hotel is Hoofddorp, which is approximately 12 kilometers from the main international exhibition center of the Netherlands’ capital.

The American company plans to strengthen its positions in Europe as currently this destination attracts over a half of all international travelers. Moreover, nowadays hotels in Europe seem to overcome all negative consequences of the global economic crisis, making this region more attractive for investors.

Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport will be the second property by this brand in the country. The first hotel is also located in Amsterdam and will open in 2012.

Hyatt Place is a relatively new brand that appeared just 5 years ago. Currently it has over 160 hotels in the US and approximately 30 hotels in the pipeline in various parts of the world like India, Costa Rica, Panama and North America.
