IHG will present its first hotel-boutique in Thailand by launching a property in Phuket in 2014. The hotelier will run this accommodation according to the agreement with Tiansin Property Development Co. Ltd. Hotel Indigo Phuket Naithon Beach Resort will have an advantageous location – on the beachfront of Nai Thon Beach (30 km away from Patong). This is going to be the second property by Indigo brand in Thailand.
Currently the company tries to push its Indigo brand in a rather aggressive manner. The company has plans concerning the opening of new properties under this brand in all areas where might be demand for upscale hotel-boutiques. Currently the company considers Phuket one of its key markets and tries to open there hotels under different brands, from midscale to luxurious ones.
Indigo Naithon Beach hotel in Phuket will consist of a building with 120 guestrooms and 15 private villas. The hotel will also have such facilities as a swimming pool, a spa, a bar and an all-day restaurant. The creators of the hotel plan to create a resort that will amaze even travellers who frequently visit Phuket. The resort will have a unique design that is yet kept in secret and will target upscale tourists who seek exclusive service. It’s known that each villa will have its own design and there will be no properties featuring same design anywhere else in the world.
Currently there are 38 Indigo hotels in the world. IHG has opened hotels in Liverpool, Madrid, Mexico City, Glasgow, Vancouver and other major cities. The first accommodation by this brand in Asia Pacific opened in 2010 and this was a hotel in Shanghai.
