Starwood has revealed its plans concerning the opening of 2 new hotels in Bursa, Turkey. This city is known as an industrial center with rich cultural heritage. In order to make it possible, Starwood Hotels & Resorts has concluded an agreement with Faik Celik Turizm.
The new properties will be opened under Aloft and Sheraton brands and are scheduled for opening in 2013. Both hotels are located nearby each other and not far away from the Bursa New Cultural Green Park. A new soccer stadium will soon be also built in this region. Both properties will add up 304 guestrooms to the portfolio of the hotelier.
Starwood already has 5 hotels in Turkey and the two new opening this year will be the debut on the market of Bursa. Currently Bursa is known as one of the most fast developing cities in Turkey. Bursa is located 235 km away from Istanbul, on the southeast shore of Sea of Marmara. This makes this place very attractive for tourists and the hotels here may become interesting for business travellers as well due to textile and automobile manufacturers here.
Sheraton hotel in Bursa will have 171 guestrooms (among then 10 suites and 47 executive rooms). On the territory of the hotel will be located 2 restaurants, a fitness center, a SPA center, a bar and a lounge. The accommodation is also great for business purposes as it will feature 1,700 sq. m. of meeting space, 5 rooms for negotiations, a ballroom, and a well-equipped business center with Link@Sheraton certified by Microsoft.
Aloft hotel in Bursa with have 133 rooms of loft style. On the territory of the hotel will be located W XYZ bar, a fitness center, and the Re:Fuel grab-and-go F&B outlet.
