Beijing has revealed its plans concerning the building of the copy of the famous Burj Khalifa tower, the tallest building in the world. The tower is originally located in Dubai, VAE. The project is developed by the Chinese developers together with the representatives from Saudi Arabia. The estimated cost of the building reaches US $1.3 billion. Chinese authorities plan to create a 7-star, luxury hotel in Beijing in this tower.
The Chinese copy of Burj Khalifa will be located on Chang An Avenue, Mentougou District of the capital. The distance between this district and the center of the city is around 18 miles. The announcement concerning the building of the tower was made by Wang Hongzhong, the director of Mentougou.
According to Hongzhong, this project is funded entirely by the investors from Saudi Arabia. No additional details are revealed at the moment. It’s also still unclear whether the new building will be a precise copy of Burj Khalifa and how tall it will be. The authors of this project say the main features of the original tower as well as design are already completed and will be exposed to publics later.
