Radisson Blu hotel in Dubai, which operates for over than 35-years, has recently got Green Globe certification. The hotel was opened in 1975 and always tried to be environment friendly. After consulting with famous Dubai-based expert Farnek Avireal the hotel made it possible to reach Green Globe certification.
In order to become certified, the hotel needs to adjust a series of factors. Over 250 points have to be managed in total. For example, Radisson Blu hotel in Dubai needed to replace high power consuming air-conditioning with energy saving one. This was a major challenge for the hotel as the 75-year old building required proper cooling.
The Green Globe is a famous system of certification that earlier has been popular mostly among travel organizations and hotels. Nowadays representatives from many industries are interested into becoming certified. GGC stamp, attached to every certified object, is the symbol of the responsibility about environment and future of the Earth.
Radisson Blu Dubai has also installed a system of energy and resource saving and now uses many recycling elements as well as limits the use of biodegradable chemicals.
