Hong Kong based Kosmopolito Hotels International Ltd. has announced the launching of its first hotel in Shanghai. This chain of hotel-boutiques has become very successful in Hong Kong, where it owns such award winning properties as Lan Kwai Fong, Central Park and Cosmo Hong Kong. The company has 22 hotels across Asia in its portfolio with the total number of rooms exceeding 7 thousand. 15 of these hotels are operating and the rest is currently under reconstruction.
The first hotel in Shanghai will be a 264-key property representing a luxury Boutique Series. Kosmopolito owns 4 brands in total – the abovementioned Boutiuqe Series, the Hotel Kosmopolito brand (upscale hotels), the Dorset Regency brand (middle class business oriented hotels) and the Silka brand (budget hotels). The company has plans to launch all these brands in China in future.
Today all famous hoteliers tend to strengthen their positions on the Chinese market as the success in Asia depends on the success in this country. Kosmopolito Hotels International officers mention they are going to apply all their efforts and resources in order to make a good launch in China and develop their presence.
The new hotel will be located in Pudong district of Shanghai near famous Century Park – the largest park in the city. The hotel has an easy access to the most important financial and trading spots of Shanghai – Lujiazui Financial & Trade Zone.
