The first Marriott-branded hotel in Finland is planned to open in 2012. NHL star and millionaire Teemu Selänne is one the investors from Finnish side in this project. Being a native of Espoo, Selänne will participate in the building through an investment company TS Holding Oy.
Congress hotel with hydropathic establishment will be opened in an elite district of Westend in Espoo. This hotel will join the Marriott portfolio and become the first member of this brand in Finland. According to Scandinews, the hotel will be housed in an 18-storey building, covering a land area of 17 thousand square meters.
Finland's leading real estate owners are also involved in this project. The total project budget is 63 million euros. The hotel in Espoo will have capacity of 272 accommodation units.
