Mariott International hotel group has introduced two new hotels in Stockholm and Malmo: the Courtyard Kungsholmen and the Renaissance Malmo. Arne Sorenson, president of Mariott International, is pretty much satisfied with the cooperation with Scandinavian Hospitality management and Scandinavian Hospitality Group and said the company would proceed on its current expansion plan. Considering the company's 35-year anniversary of working in Europe, the opening of two new hotels in Sweden has become a big event for the company.
Mariott's current European portfolio comprises 178 hotels with room capacity amounting to 40,000. By 2015, the company plans to double its portfolio.
Courtyard Stockholm Kungsholmen hotel features 278 guestrooms, and it is one of the largest hotels in Europe. The hotel overlooks the Ralambshovs Park and offers scenic views on the lake Malaren.
The Renaissance Malmo Hotel is found in Malmo's downtown area, just a few minutes walk from the Malmo Central Station connecting the city with Copenhagen International Airport.
