The Rezidor Hotel Group - one of the world's most dynamic hotel businesses – announces the opening of Radisson Blu Furst Leopold Hotel, its first hotel in Dessau, in Germany. This 204 room use-to-be Steigenberger hotel is now branded Radisson Blu.
Kurt Ritter, Rezidor's chairman and executive officer says that this hotel is going to be just another addition to the portfolio of 51 operating and pipeline hotels in Germany. He also stresses the significance of the German market to the company's prosperity.
The Radisson Blu Furst Leopold Hotel is located in the downtown area close to the Anhaltisches Theater and the railroad station. Apart from the 204 spacious rooms, the hotel features Restaurant Furst Leopold with an open kitchen serving local and international cuisine; JU bar, business area and a luxury spa center. The hotel opened its doors back in 1994 and was renovated over the period from 2005 through 2006.
Located in East Germany, 50 km north of Leipzig, Dessau has a rich historical and cultural heritage. The city can boast a proximity of four UNESCO heritage objects, including Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Worlitz and several outstanding Bauhaus samples of architecture. Bauhaus style is observable in the Radisson Blu Furst Leopold Hotel's outer appearance.
