Den Bosch is the most beautiful town and the capital of North Brabant province in the southern part of the Netherlands. The town was founded in the end of the 12th century between the mouths of two small rivers Aa and Dommel on the basis of former hunting holdings of Brabant Duke. There are not so many places of interest in Den Bosch, but this town is famous for fantastic pictures of Hieronimus Van Aeken (known by his pseudonym Bosch) that are exhibited in one of the local museums. There is also a beautiful St John Cathedral, which inner decorations and drafts of stained-glass windows were created by Bosch. The architecture of St. John Cathedral represents gothic style. Here you will find spear-shaped gothic bas-reliefs, arcs, windows and unusual details of outside décor – figures that hold the cathedral’s peak. This church is the most beautiful one in the Netherlands and one of the reasons for this is long building. Started in XIV, the building process ended only a hundred years later. On the main square near the railway station, one of the main symbols of the city, a fine fountain decorated with the figure of a golden dragon. This figure was established here in 1903 as a symbol of the once majestic and unapproachable city.
