Preserved history of Delft: long-standing and historical hotels

Hotel Johannes Vermeer Delft Photo of Hotel Johannes Vermeer Delft, Delft Hotel Johannes Vermeer Delft remains one of the most famous and interesting historic hotels in Delft. It is located in the heart of the city, where the hotel occupies a beautiful old building that was previously a tobacco factory. Designers of the historic hotel tried to keep the original architecture of the building as much as possible and added beautiful antique furniture and items to create a unique style. Luxurious wooden details, fragments of the original brick walls, posh crystal chandeliers and genuine paintings – everything in this hotel reminds of traditions of the past. Even the breakfast hall is made in a magnificent historic style, and frescos in the national style remain its main decoration. This hotel has only 30 rooms, all of which are furnished with retro wooden furniture. Walls in guestrooms are covered with vintage wallpapers.
Hotel Grand Canal Station Delft The history of Hotel Grand Canal Station Delft is no less interesting. This amazing hotel is located on one of the central streets of the city, near the old canal. The building of the hotel was constructed more than a hundred years ago. Initially, it was a factory producing organic fertilizers. Later, the building was turned into a prison, and nowadays the former prison cells make up 20 charming and comfortable rooms. All the rooms are decorated in strict accordance with traditions of the past. Some rooms feature the original wooden ceiling, while in other rooms visitors will see old wooden windows. There is an interesting collection of old paintings at the hotel, and the ground floor features a glass case with traditional items made of porcelain.

de Bieslandse Heerlijkheid Travelers, who enjoy resting in the countryside, will definitely like their visit to the mini-hotel de Bieslandse Heerlijkheid . The building, in which the hotel is located, is a true landmark of the national architecture. Previously, it was used as a granary. Nowadays, the hotel features 6 unique rooms that come with interesting handmade furniture, ancient paintings, and works by local craftsmen. The hotel has a well-kept adjusting territory with terraces and a special barbeque zone. Visitors will be pleased to find beautiful nature and interesting landmarks not far from the hotel.
Bed & Breakfast Soul Inn Photo of Bed & Breakfast Soul Inn, Delft Fans of staying at unusual hotels usually praise Bed & Breakfast Soul Inn. This mini hotel is open in a beautiful 19th century building. Guests of Bed & Breakfast Soul Inn will be able to enjoy the inimitable atmosphere of the 70s of the previous century. All rooms available for travelers are creative and genuine, and feature artistic wallpapers and colorful textiles. Lamps and torches in retro style, genuine old paintings, wooden furniture and original designer décor make the rooms look truly inimitable. There is an inner yard at the hotel, which is simply gorgeous and great for relaxation on a warm day.
Hotel de Emauspoort Photo of Hotel de Emauspoort, Delft The last but not the least, Hotel de Emauspoort borders one of the most famous landmarks of Delft, the Nieuwe Kerk. Designers of the hotel have managed to restore the atmosphere of the past, mostly thanks to the well-preserved architecture of the building. The original wooden carcass is still in good condition, and rooms on the top floor still have mansard ceilings and wooden windows. There is a charming lounge bar with beautifully decorated wooden ceiling and antique furniture on the ground floor of the hotel. The inner yard of the hotel hides one more secret – an old wooden carriage, which is actually also a guestroom. Such an unusual accommodation is very popular with newlyweds.
