The site still a strange bridge is the British Tatton Park, whose guests can enjoy the numerous picturesque ponds located in the park territorium. One of them is the wonderful bridge of the monkeys. This wooden hanging bridge is characterized by being suspended on three large balloons. Overall, this design looks very interesting and unusual. Certainly, it has no functional purpose.
The author of the original art installation is the famous painter from France Olivier Grossetete. For several years, Tatton Park has served as a venue for various competitions dedicated to landscape art. The bridge of the monkeys was presented to the competition in 2012. Only at first sight does the construction seem very simple and primitive. The organizers of the project have made a lot of effort to balance the bridge and the helium balloons. The construction was placed on the territory of the Japanese Garden.
The enchanting bridge has brought many well-known architects more attention to the interaction with nature. The bold design by Olivier Grossetete has given the excellent idea to the modern construction workers and the architects who now believe that the full and functional bridges can be built which will fulfill their intended application and support the environmental equilibrium.
