The archipelago of an incredible beauty has placed in the Indian Ocean – Cocos Islands. The whole area of the archipelago is 14 square kilometres and population is about 600 people. The territory consists of 27 coral islands, of which only two – West Island and Home Island – are inhabited. Other islands are under the nature power. The island was named according to the numerous coconut palms growing on the island. Processing of them is the main work of locals. There are opened several small factories which produce the palm oil. These factories don’t look like the modern one in towns, all processes are made by people or with simple technical equipment. Tourists like to visit these factories, for them, it is a kind of entertainment. Fans of deep seclusion have an opportunity to visit the picturesque uninhabited islands. Tourists can get there by boats. Cocos Islands are the best place for divers, the underwater world is full of vividly colored fish and other sea inhabitants.
