Toledo is the most beautiful and picturesque city among all Spain historical cities. From the 6th century till the middle of the 16th century this city was the capital of Spain. Nowadays you can see a lot of historical monuments that resemble about its rich past. The wonderful Alcázar Fortress is the main symbol of Toledo. It makes people stare at its inexpugnable walls. During the excursion around this fortress you can visit the main skydecks, from which opens the panoramic view of the river.

The Santa María la Blanca Cathedral is the most well-known religion monument in the city. It adores people with its delicate architecture and rich inside decoration. This cathedral is one-of-a-kind architectural monument that has both Arabic and European elements. A lot of pieces of art are collected there. The sacristy of the cathedral is one of the richest thesauri in the world.

Some mosques were also saved from the ancient times. One of them is the Cristo de la Luz Mosque. It was built at the end of the 10th century. Nowadays the Mosque has lost the religious meaning but it is still an interesting place for tourists. Except for antient buildings and museums, Toledo has a great number of craft stalls where you can buy unique handmade souvenirs. Also, you can see a lot of outstanding staff from the imprinted leather, neckcloths and handmade ceramic items. In antiquary stalls you can buy the old weapon and wonderful works of art.
