An excellent viewing platform, from which you can see the city in all its glory can be found in New York. The deck located in Empire State Building is especially popular among tourists. The height of this historic skyscraper is 381 meters. It was built in 1931, and, until 1972, remained the tallest building on the planet. The observation deck is located on the 86th floor, you can climb it using elevators.
The large deck is overlooking the most famous sights of New York. Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge are perfectly visible. You can see roofs of nearby houses, as well as tanks with fresh water installed on top of buildings. It is particularly amazing to admire the surrounding streets during warmer months, as there are gardens and greenhouses, as well as great recreation areas on the roofs. You can make spectacular pictures of the Hudson and Jersey City located on the opposite side of the district, while standing on a deck.
Since day one, the observation deck was visited by over 110 million people. One of the main advantages of the site is its all-round visibility. In 1999, another site, which is located on the 102nd floor, was opened. It is covered; the area is smaller than the lower viewing platform. A lot of amazing rides wait for fans of thrills in the Empire State Building. These include New York Skyride that is a simulator of air travel around the city.
