In Zambia there is also a suitable resort for rafting fans. Zambezi River has the numerous waterways and waterfalls, with the world famous waterfall Viktoria. The river is incredibly rushing and hides many dangers, including the huge stones and trenches hidden under the swirling waves. Rafting on the Zambezi River is considered one of the most extreme entertainments in the world. Every year, some 50,000 people travel along the river.
More than 50% thresholds belong to the fifth complexity class. The threshold with the promising name 'the suicide, also referred to as the Threshold №9, is considered to be the most complicated threshold on the river, officially it is impassable, even the experienced athletes prefer to overcome this threshold on land. The world-famous sportsman Steve Fischer has stepped down from the waterfall with the rope and has almost reached the second threshold with almost no visibility.
Threshold numbers 4 to 12 are considered simpler. This stretch of river is actively used for tourist rafting. The beginners can finish their championship on one of the routes between the 13th and the 23rd thresholds, which are not interesting for experienced athletes. A pleasant surprise is waiting for the tourists during the trip - on the river banks you can see the wild animals. It is not recommended to drive close to the shores because in this case an obstacle - the bathing hippos, can arise.
