North Sentinel Island, India

From series “The Most Inaccessible Spots of the Planet”
In the world, there is a strange place, on the bottom of which modern man has never entered during the last decades. It is North Sentinel Island. This island is located in the Gulf of Bengal and belongs officially to the territory of India. In reality, however, it is a very isolated territory. The way to the island is actually not so difficult, up to it can be reached both by the waterway, and by the air.

The landing on the island is nevertheless impossible - all foreign guests are encountered by the flaming tribe of the native inhabitants. It is dangerous to get close to the island. The curious researchers can be hit by toxic arrows or throwing spikes. Despite the good accessibility, North Sentinel Island remains one of the least explored places on earth.

Today, the exact number of the islanders is unclear. The culture and customs of the aggressive tribe are also unknown. For more than 20 years, North Sentinel Island has been a closed territory, which can only be admired during the helicopter excursion. The aborigines find the incidents of the air just as outrageous and try to bombard the helicopters with the arrows every time. Next - Ise Grand Shrine
