One of the most difficult to reach places in China is the Motuo County, located in the Tibetan mountains. To get to this picturesque and interesting place you have to go a difficult way to the narrow iced mountain road. And on the last stretch you have to pass a swinging 200-meter-long Hängebrücke. This area has been sacred to the Buddhists for many years. Motuo circle is really rich in the wonderfully beautiful landscapes.
Many exciting legends are connected with this area. As a legend tells, the picturesque area is protected by gods. The authorities of China have tried several times to connect the hard-to-reach mountain district with the nearby cities and to create a safe road to it. All attempts failed. Each time the rain, the muds and the avalanches have disturbed the plans of the construction workers. It was only the attempt in the 1990s to succeed the authorities.
The road only exists for a couple of days and was then destroyed by the element. A few years later, the lush forest once again grew, where once the road existed. The tourists, who dare to see the long and difficult way and see these incredible places, must overcome the numerous obstacles. They must cross nine rivers, several snowy peaks and forests with poisonous insects. The reward for this is the incredibly beautiful mountain landscapes. The period from June to October is considered to be the best time to travel to this region.
