On the territory of Banff National Park, Canada, there is the small ski resort 'Sunshine Village', where you can find one of the most dangerous ski slopes in the country. Delirium Dive stretches through the incredibly beautiful and at the same time very dangerous mountainous area. Not all skiers can assess the complexity and the risk of the runway at first glance.
Not only the numerous sharp curves, but also the high avalanche probability significantly complicate the descent. On the slopes daily has the ski service. Despite this precautions, you can only ski with the special avalanche sensors. On the summit, before the descent, one can scarcely surmise the coming obstacles.
The slope is quite large and forms an average of about 50 degrees. The sharp stones under the snow make the situation more difficult and form the main danger in the case of avalanches. It has to be noted that there is no rental point on this health resort, therefore all experienced skiers bring their own ski equipment. Before embarking on one of the most dangerous slopes in Canada, one must necessarily inquire whether there has been an increased avalanche risk. Otherwise, Delirium Dive is closed.
