Riomaggiore in Italy can claim the title of one of the most beautiful places in the world. This town is located on the coast of La Spezia province. It is conveniently located on the cliffs. According to historical records, the town was founded in the 13th century. Today, it occupies an area of about 10 square km. About 1 700 people constantly live in the town. Many travelers get to Riomaggiore within a sightseeing tour after visiting the nearby village of Manarola. Two of these small settlements are connected with the beautiful mountain road called the Road of Love.
