In the state of Tennessee is the largest private waterfall in the world – Cummins Falls. It is located on the Blackburn Fork State River. The height of this waterfall is 26 meters. By volume, it is the eighth largest waterfall in the state. The main feature of the waterfall are large swimming bowls. Here you can comfortably enjoy water procedures surrounded by bubbling cascades of water. Bowls are located on two levels, one of them is shallow and the other is rather deep.
Since 1825 the waterfall and the surrounding park belong to the Cummins family. They were recently opened to public visits. The territory surrounding the waterfall received the status of a public park in 2011. Today, the picturesque park is a favourite place of rest for both local residents and curious tourists. Travellers should take into account that the park can only be visited during excursions, which must be registered in advance.
