In the United States there are too many abandoned buildings that can scare even the most experienced travelers. One of these buildings is the Michigan Central Station, which was built in 1913. At the time of completion, this railway station was one of the largest in the country. Even today, the historical building is striking in its majesty. The last train from this station departed in January 1988. After that, it has lost its original meaning and had almost 30 years by slowly being destroyed.
An abandoned building is situated in the heart of Detroit city center. The sight is surrounded by green parkland with a beautiful lawn, so it looks very dark and at the same time attractive. The historic building has preserved a part of the interior decoration. Visitors can walk along the spacious halls with high ceilings and look into huge windows to admire the preserved elements of artistic murals and mosaics on the walls and ceiling.
In recent years, the abandoned railway station has become a place of shooting many popular blockbusters. Its gloomy atmosphere attracts not only curious tourists, but also filmmakers. In recent years, Detroit's authorities have repeatedly advocated an initiative to conduct a complete reconstruction of the building, but due to lack of funds a huge building continues to stand in complete desolation.
