If you want to relax in a peaceful setting and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature, head to Hong Kong Park that is located not far from Pacific Place Shopping Mall. This park is not distinguished by large size as it is surrounded by lively city streets and has an amazingly calm and peaceful atmosphere. On any time of the year, this park is a wonderful place to escape from city stress, relax in the shade of old trees or sit near the artificial pond with goldfish and cute turtles. There is a small museum in the territory of the park, the exhibition of which is dedicated to the national kitchenware.
Travelers with older children are recommended to head to Honk Kong Geopark. There are as many as eight unique geologic areas on the island in total, and all of them are protected by UNESCO. These areas are famous for their unique geologic formations. During an excursion there, travelers will see unusual arcs that were created by nature, columns of unusual shapes that appeared millions of years ago as a result of volcanic activity.

When you’re in a mood to look at the city from the bird’s eye view, it’s time to go for a walk to the central haven. This area is famous for its magnificent Ferris wheel, a ride on which will please both children and adults. Many experienced travelers recommend making a ride on the Ferris wheel at noon, when sun rays reflect from the surrounding skyscrapers, creating a truly impressive view. The wheel makes three full turns within 20 minutes, and that time is enough to enjoy the magnificent panorama of Hong Kong.
