Kyiv Electric Transport Plant was founded in 1906. Trams were the main form of public transport for Kyiv in the early 20th century. Tram depots alone were not enough to carry out their repair. This was the impetus for the construction of a new large plant. The plant reached its peak during the communist period. It set a real-world record in the middle of the 20th century. The plant has produced about 2,000 trolleybuses under the brand name "Kyiv" for 13 years.

One of the largest plants of its kind in the world was used for its intended purpose until 2006. The decision to restructure it was made this year. The large-scale territory of the Kyiv plant is in complete disrepair today. It attracts those who like to walk in deserted places. Even though the entrance to the territory of the former factory is officially closed, it is not difficult to get into the territory of the old workshops.

Brick buildings are gradually collapsing. They are opening to the eyes of visitors to the plant. You can see preserved old furniture and other elements of the former situation in some of them even today. Cars of old trams forgotten on the territory of the plant are of particular interest. They have plied the streets of Kyiv in the past. You can see the skeletons of old trolleybuses in various parts of the vast territory. They border on green spaces in some places. These plantings actively grow inside the cars year after year. The main production hall is considered the most interesting object in the factory. You can see not only old equipment but also trams here. They were brought here for repairs in 2006.
