Will Rogers World Airport (mostly known as Will Rogers Airport or simply Will Rogers), is a central aviation hub of the state of Oklahoma. It lies ten kilometres from downtown Oklahoma City, the capital of the state. The air terminal bears the name of the actor and cowboy Will Rogers, who was born in Oklahoma. During World War II, the airfield was a training facility and a base for the United States Army Air Forces. Although the airport does not handle international flights, it is Oklahoma's busiest airport in terms of total passenger traffic. The airport services more than 5 million people a year. The passenger terminal is divided into three concourses, which are the Central, West and East Concourses.
Oklahoma City is accessible from the airport by bus departing from Greyhound station. Dedicated bus routes provide transportation for military men and recruits. At Will Rogers World Airport, you may proceed from the lower level of the passenger terminal to the Transportation Plaza, where taxi, limousine, van, and shuttle services are available. The cars of transport network companies (Uber and Lyft) pick up passengers on the upper transportation level, next to the terminal.
