People, who enjoy riding through scenic landscapes, should pay attention to the fast highway 515 that starts in the suburbs of Las Vegas. The highway slowly merges with the road 93. If you move on it without any turns, you can get to a picturesque valley and see the famous Hoover Dam.
One can leave his/her car in one of the local parking areas in Nevada (the cost of parking is about US$7) or Arizona (there are free parking areas). There is a park in Nevada next to the Museum of the Dam. The price already includes the cost of parking and a museum excursion.
The road 64 leads to Grand Canyon Park (more precisely, to its south part). Entering its territory is not free and costs around US$20. Inside the park it is possible to move freely in a car. There are even parking areas next to the most interesting and picturesque canyons.

Rental, parking and other info on Minneapolis Airport
Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport serves five US states, which are Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. It was opened in 1923, on the site where the racetrack had used to be situated. The airport was renamed several times. It got its present name, Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport/Wold-Chamberlain Field in 1948. Both commercial civil aviation and the United States Air Force make shared use of the airport. It features 4 runways. The annual passenger traffic of the airport amounts to 36-37 million people. It is built in the metropolitan area of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The territory of the airport comprises two passenger terminals. One is the Lindbergh Terminal 1 and the other is the Humphrey Terminal 2. The Lindbergh Terminal 1 is divided into 7 concourses, which are A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. The Humphrey Terminal 2, in its turn, consists entirely of Concourse H.

The Hiawatha Light Rail Line goes from the centre of Minneapolis to the airport. It runs through both the terminals, in which there are separate stops. The light rail operates 24 hours a day. Passengers use this line free of charge to move between the terminals.

The Hub Building and the Transit Transportation Centre, located nearby, are the principal locations of interface between the various modes of transport. City and transit bus routes run from this Centre. Besides, taxi stands, light metro stops (the Blue line) and rental car pick-up locations are found there.

The following car rental companies offer their services to passengers of Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport: Advantage, Alamo, Enterprise, Hertz, Thrifty, Dollar, Budget, Avis, and National. The car rental facilities are positioned at the second and the third levels of the Lindbergh Terminal 1, between the red and blue parking ramps. In the Humphrey Terminal 2, the vehicle rental facilities are placed in the Ground Transportation Centre, opposite the terminal (the violet ramp level).

Payless and Sixt agencies lie outside the territory of the airport and that is why provide buses which take customers to their car rental offices. Buses of the companies depart from the Lindbergh Terminal 1 (from the Transit Transportation Centre, between the blue and red parking ramps). The Centre can be reached by underground tram. On arriving you should climb one level higher. Not all the agencies operate round the clock. You should contact the selected company in advance. Read all...
Driving limousine through sights of Minneapolis
Food traditions of Minneapolis were significantly impacted by the cuisine of Nordic countries. At local restaurants, you can taste different seafood and fish dishes. They also offer special gastronomic delicacies, for example, lutefisk, an unusual fish dish that is very popular in Norway.
This dish is one of the most unusual and extraordinary delicacies in the world. Even its recipe can astonish experienced gourmets. The lutefisk is cooked of dried fish, primarily cod. Dried fish is soaked in alkaline solution for three days and in water for a few more days.

Then, the cod becomes soft and jellylike and acquires a distinct smell. Those who dare to taste such an unusual dish are delighted. In contrast to restaurants in Norway, in Minneapolis, fish is thermally treated after being soaked. It is fried, baked, or boiled.

In the city, there are a lot of restaurants that specialize in classic American cuisine. They will delight lovers of grilled meat. Here, you can taste different types of steaks and barbecue. Restaurants that offer modern American dishes have recently become popular. Here, you can have not only burgers or steaks, but also healthy dishes, for example, fresh vegetable salads, smoothies, and special vegetarian dishes.
