Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is a large passenger air terminal. It is located in the territory of the city of Romulus, Michigan. It was put into operation in 1930. In the early years of the airport, it hosted Michigan Air National Guard operations gained by the United States Army Air Forces. The airport services not only the neighbouring States, but also the contiguous Canadian territories (the province of Ontario). It is one of the most modern civil aviation facilities of the USA. The number of leading companies provides their car rental services at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. The Parking Structure of the airport is a complicated 10-level construction. Parking for the passengers of the North Terminal is offered in a garage known as the Big Blue Deck. Several types of parking are available near the McNamara Terminal. These are valet parking (the departure level), short-term and long-term parking lots. The Big Blue Deck comprises economy parking. Parking lots are connected with the terminals by passages and free transfer.
The Westin Hotel is nestled in the territory of the airport. It is connected with Concourse A of the McNamara Terminal. A shuttle departs to the hotel from each terminal. The hotels lying in the vicinity of the airport provide free shuttle bus services to passengers. They include the Knights Inn, the Wyndham Garden, the Baymont by Wyndham and others.
