Denver International Airport is located 40 km from the city centre. It is the biggest air terminal of the USA and is among the three largest airports in terms of land area. The airport disposes of the longest runway in the country. The airport features 6 runways in total. Passengers are handled in the main terminal (Jeppesen) which has 3 concourses. The airport was put into operation in 1995. It is one of the most high-capacity airports, as its annual passenger traffic exceeded 60 million people long ago.
Jeppesen Terminal is divided into the West and East sides. Leaving the main terminal, passengers can access the gates on 3 separate concourses which are A, B, and C. The concourses are connected by pedestrian bridges and equipped with travelators.
The airport has access to Interstate 70 highway and E-470 tollway. Suburban electric trains run from Denver (from Denver Union Station) in the direction of the airport. You can also get to Denver by several bus routes and express bus. In addition, there are taxi and limousine services as well as charter buses.
