Dallas Love Field is among municipal facilities of the city of Dallas. It is one of four largest airports servicing Texas. It is located ten kilometres from the city centre. The airport was opened in 1914. Over the years, it functioned as the main airport of Dallas. Originally, it was established as an airfield for military purposes. The airport is named after Moss L. Love, one of the military pilots, who perished during the training flight. Since 1929, it has been operating as a civilian airport. The airport encompasses three runways. A tram takes passengers from here to the city. Bus number 524 runs from the terminal of the airport to the Inwood - Love Field station. Passengers are picked up at the exit of the terminal building. You will see the vehicle rental facilities, placed at the exit from the baggage claim area, if you go in the direction of the information desks. Customers receive their leased cars in the parking lot of the terminal. The cars are usually returned to the parking lot of the airport or to the site specified in the contract. Furthermore, the offices and car parks of some firms are found not far from the airport parking lots. These offices do not work round the clock, they are closed at night (for example, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, and Enterprise). Only credit cards are accepted for payment. To conclude the rental agreement, you are required to present not only your passport (or the identity card with a photo), but also your driver's license, containing the entries written in Latin script.
