Atlanta has the largest oceanarium in the United States. It is a landmark of national significance. The total volume of the aquarium is 32 000 cubic meters; it is inhabited by about 120 000 marine animals and fish. The vast territory of the oceanarium is divided into several thematic exhibitions. There is also the excellent dolphinarium, Dolphin Tales.
A rather unusual exhibition called Cold Water Quest acquaints visitors with the inhabitants of the coldest oceans. Here, you can see a family of belugas, as well as African penguins adapted to the harsh environmental conditions. The Tropical Diver exhibition, on the other hand, is dedicated to the inhabitants of the warmest seas. Here, you can see incredibly beautiful tropical fish, exotic jellyfish, and corals. Those are gems usually hunted by divers from around the world.
