The museum is located in the tiny town of Avanos and was founded by the locals named Chez Galip. The history of the museum foundation is incredibly interesting and romantic. It became the first exhibit of the future museum, whose collection today consists of more than 16,000 curls. At that time, Chez Galip had a small pottery store, which the women often visited to buy a new milk jug or the dishes.
