Amongst many tourists Belek is associated exclusively with the beaches and resort hotels, however there is also a selection of interesting attractions to visit. In the immediate vicinity of the city is a unique archaeological area of ​​Perge, where an antique theatre was discovered. Through the efforts of modern researchers, the amphitheatre was completely restored; once upon a time it could accommodate up to 12,000 spectators. During excavations in the area many interesting artefacts were found, some aging to more than 2000 years back. They can be admired in the Historical Museum of Antalya.Â

Fans of natural attractions should definitely sign up for a tour of the Zeytin Tash cave, which is also located in the immediate vicinity of the resort. This cave was discovered only a few years ago, according to some sources it is possible to see the finest stalactites in the world. Now the cave is well equipped for visitors, it features special wooden bridges that allow you to admire the underground scenery without causing it any harm.Â
