Pattaya - Roadster/Convertible Hire

Searching for open roof cars

Preset configuration of the white form above - search for an exotic car or a cabriolet at 'Pattaya'. Address: 219/1-3, Moo 10 Liabchyhard Rd., Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi 20260, Thailand.

In Pattaya, we provide vehicles at 2 different rental locations. Cars with a folding roof are rather of a rare type, so they are mostly offered in airports and railway stations.

We advise booking a cabriolet in Thailand in advance (several weeks or even several months prior to your trip), since the availability of convertibles in our car park is quite limited.

Pattaya, Thailand: cabriolet rental hints
The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Thailand are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet and BMW Z4.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Pattaya require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Thailand is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Pattaya and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Pattaya, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Thailand!

Driving Advices for Thailand – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
In Bangkok, the road fines are much higher, and driving under the influence of alcohol is considered the most serious traffic violation. The maximum allowed blood alcohol content is 0.5 ppm. In addition to a large fine, the offender is likely to spend two days in jail. His/her driving license will be also suspended.
Foreign drivers should be especially careful and try not to break the rules because foreign guests are treated more strictly in the country. Do not assume that if you follow all the rules, you are automatically safe and no accident can happen. It is important to monitor the situation on the road and look around often.
In popular tourist cities, pedestrians are usually another source of danger for motorists. Many of them are also guests from other countries, and so they believe that local car drivers will certainly give way to them and will slow down near pedestrian crossings.

The most waited and wanted holiday among local folks is the Pattaya Songkran Festival or the Thai New Year. The festival takes place in the middle of April annually. It lasts for seven days and features numerous mass festivals and shows, dancing and music performances, grand fireworks. Travelers visiting the resort during this festival should keep in mind one specific cultural feature – one should not appear in the street in expensive clothes as well as women should not put a bright make up on. The matter is that the main tradition of the holiday is water throwing which can make tourists wet even during a usual city exploration tour in the most unexpected moment. The custom of throwing water is considered to be the most significant for local people. That is why one should not take this custom ill. Tourists should better be backed up with drinking water during the walking tour.

The same interesting ethnic holiday is the Loi Krathong festival which is held during the full moon of November. The festival is accompanied with a stunning and romantic tradition. At nightfall local people set off to a river bank and set small boats with candle lights afloat. It is considered that all the people taking part in the ritual will face luck and fortune in all aspects of life. The most interesting religious fest of the resort is the Makha Bucha (or the Magha Puja) festival which is held in the first part of February. The Buddhist Festival is dedicated to Buddha teaching. It is a one day festival. Numerous interesting original rituals and ceremonies are held on this day.
