As June commences, the weather in the country gets better, and it rains very rarely. The warmest month in Sweden nonetheless, is July. At the same time, the marine climate contributes to the formation of weather conditions in the country considered quite comfortable by Europeans. With the arrival of August, the temperature drops by a couple of degrees, but in general, it remains stable. Autumn in Sweden begins early; in the north – from the middle of August. In the northern part of the Kingdom, already from the beginning of September, the weather becomes cold, windy, and there are prolonged rains almost every day. In the southern part on the other hand, it is still quite warm by the first autumn month. It snows from the first days of autumn in the mountainous part of the country. From the middle of autumn, the weather throughout the whole territory becomes very cold. This is due to the influence of cold air masses coming from the Atlantic. With the onset of November, it rains or snows throughout the Kingdom. The average temperature during this time is about 3-6°C. In the northern part of the country, the temperature drops to 3°C.
With the arrival of winter, even in the south, the temperature drops to zero degrees and frosts are possible at night. In the capital, the temperature on average is around -3°C. In the mountainous areas, everything is covered with a large layer of snow, and the temperature drops to -15°C in daytime and to -23°C at night. Very cold and gusty wind blows all over the territory of the country. With the beginning of February, the air temperature gradually rises to an average of 3-4°C. The weather in the beginning of spring is very unpredictable. In the southern part of the country, it is usually warm in March. However, spring reaches the central and northern parts of Sweden with a delay of 8-10 weeks. In April, the weather is much warmer throughout the country although there may still be frosts in the mountain regions at night. At the beginning of May, the weather stabilizes; rains are rare, and the weather becomes warm and comfortable.
