Located in the immediate vicinity of the central railway station is the Best Western Hotel Eggers , which was founded in a 19th-century building. The hotel offers its guests a trip back several decades and presents to them the opportunity of spending time in the aristocratic atmosphere of the early 20th century as well. A unique atmosphere reigns in the rooms, created by massive wooden furniture with upholstery made from strict shades of fabric, parquet floors lined with luxurious carpets, huge mirrors and paintings in massive frames, vintage table lamps and floor lamps, which all blend together. Even the bathrooms are decorated in accordance with the traditions of past years; they have beautiful mosaics on the walls and a bathtub with high carved legs.
Not far from the famous Gothia Towers complex is situated the Eklanda Apartment Korsvägen , designed to accommodate four guests and largely oriented towards those who appreciate ancient traditions. The spacious apartments feature an interesting collection of antique furniture and vintage accessories. The rooms are covered with very beautiful bright wallpaper with patterns, and everywhere you look, you can see old clay pots with fresh flowers, antique clocks, and utensils. The apartments also have a cozy, furnished balcony from which you can behold panoramic views of the historic streets of Gothenburg.
