Searching for open roof cars

Preset configuration of the white form above - search for an exotic car or a cabriolet at 'Murcia - Airport'. Address: Murcia - Airport, Avenida Juan Carlos I, Murcia, Spain.

In Murcia, we provide vehicles at 4 different rental locations. Cars with a folding roof are rather of a rare type, so they are mostly offered in airports and railway stations.

We advise booking a cabriolet in Spain in advance (several weeks or even several months prior to your trip), since the availability of convertibles in our car park is quite limited.

Murcia, Spain: cabriolet rental hints
The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Spain are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet, Audi A3 Convertible, Audi A4 Convertible and BMW Z4 Roadster.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Murcia require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Spain is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Murcia and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Murcia, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Spain!

Driving Advices for Spain – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
Local drivers are rather impatient and, so they often express their dissatisfaction with the signals. Foreign visitors are not recommended to follow their example. The reason for this is the fact that the use of a car honk is prohibited.
Spanish drivers often disregard the speed limit. However, the speeding of just 20 km/h can result in a fine of 100 euro, so it is better not to risk and not to exceed the designated speed limit.
It should be noted that local police is quite condescending towards foreigners. It is likely that if a driver breaks traffic regulations for the first time, he will get only a warning. However, drivers shouldn’t expect that next violations will cause no punishment.

Enjoying sights of Murcia in cabriolet
One of the most spectacular events in the region taking place in early September is the Feria de Septiembre de Murcia. Besides fairs where you can taste different wines and snacks, you can take part in other activities: amusement rides, music concerts, master classes, themed tours, art exhibitions, pet shows, and open-air cinema shows. Every year, the festival organizers prepare a surprise. For example, in 2018, it was the launching of hot-air balloons that impressed all visitors. So, the fair will stick in tourists’ memory for a long time. The festival is held at different locations of the city: parks, culture centers, concert halls, or the embankment of the Segur River.

In the city, Christian holidays are widely celebrated. As mentioned above, one of them is Semana Santa. Other important holidays are Christmas (Navidad), Epiphany (Día de Reyes), the Assumption of the Virgin Mary (Asunción), and the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (Inmaculada Concepción). On 9 June, the Day of the Region of Murcia (Día de la Región de Murcia) is celebrated in all big cities. Of course, the most large-scale events take place in the capital of the region. On the Centro Cultural Infanta Elena de Alcantarilla, music, dance, and theatrical performances that present the culture of the region are held. Then, the government rewards musicians, sportsmen, and dancers who contributed much to the development of the region.
