Palma de Mallorca Airport is one of the three main airports of Spain, located on the island of Mallorca. It is among the three leading international air terminals of the country. The airport is situated eight kilometres away from the city of Palma de Mallorca. It serves not only as a civilian transportation hub, but also as the Air Force Base of Spain. The airport capacity is estimated at approximately 40 million passengers per year. At the moment two runways operate at the airport. The airport comprises only one passenger terminal, divided into 4 modules, which are A, B, C, and D. There is a terminal, which services business and private flights.
A bus service, taxi and transfer services are most often used to move from the airport to the nearest city (Palma) and other localities of the island. Moreover, you can take advantage of car hire services. Bus number 21 takes passengers to several hotels located near the airport. You can reach the bus station, the city's main square, and the port by bus number 1. A few long-distance routes run through the airport. A taxi stand is placed next to the terminal.
