Many countries have the sign and symbolic holidays, what you remember, having hardly heard the name. Semana Santa is the soul of Spain, her symbolical religiousness, and splendor. You and hundreds of thousands of tourists will have the chance to get acquainted with this soul during the Easter Holy Week. During these days in Seville, will take place various festive processions for which the citizens prepare the whole year. Huge, ornated Passos, the sculptural compositions on religious plots, are taken out to the streets from the churches. These Passos are followed by the novices of numerous brotherhoods wearing long cloaks, masks, and high peaked caps.
During the spring, the city of Seville turns into the magic place with the air impregnated with the aroma of a bitter orange and jasmine. Seville Fair is the traditional annual national festival held in April. It starts during Easter week in the midnight of Monday and lasts through Sunday. The preparations for a fair begin in advance, in order to indulge in the rough fun for the whole week: wine flows like water, dances to exhaustion — day and night. The traditional parade is opened by the horse vehicles and equestrians, followed by the festively dressed up residents. The procession moves to Plaza-de-Toros, and after to the arena. By the way, the daily program of the fair includes the real bullfight.
