The main places to relax are beaches of Dakar. The most popular is Bel Air Beach located near the main railway station. Equally attractive beaches Enfants and Anse Bernard can be found in the southern part of the city. They are not as crowded as the main city beach, while conditions are still comfortable. Local markets "Marche" are considered one of the main national attractions. Among the city's largest and most popular markets is Kermel, which was founded in the middle of the 19th century. Walking along beautiful colonial buildings and pavilions of unusual shapes, shoppers can discover a lot of interesting goods, from exotic flowers to handicrafts. Sandaga is considered the most popular non-food market, here you can buy high-quality equipment and appliances at very attractive prices. Close to Medina is Tilene market, and it is here where visitors to the city prefer to go for souvenirs, spices and fresh fruit.
