Among other attractive tourist destinations is the Museu Condes de Castro where the Renaissance setting is recreated. The richly decorated interior including a huge collection of books, household items belonging to that era, beautiful sculptures and paintings - all this can be found inside the museum building. Outside, visitors are attracted by a magnificent garden with freely walking animals (peacocks, pheasants, roosters, turtles), a picturesque pond inhabited by ducks and swans, and the enchanting aroma of fresh plants.
Casa das Histórias Paula Rego is outstanding from an architectural point of view. The building designed by the architect Eduardo Souto de Moura was completed in 2000. Connoisseurs of fine arts will love it here too - inside they will find paintings by the Portuguese artist Paula Rego. It is worth noting that the project of the building was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the artist herself - thus, it must have been “fun, lively and a bit naughty”. It turned out to be realized, and today tourists can see such a magnificent building, an excellent example of modern architecture. However, art lovers will be happy to check one more place - Centro Cultural de Cascais where interesting temporary exhibitions are held every day.
