An important historic symbol of the city is Ancona Hill. The height of the hill is 300 meters. It had been in possession of the United States for many years. Only in the 80s of the last century, Panama managed to recover these lands. Now the state flag is set on the top of the hill. On the hill, there is a beautiful park that is considered the best viewing platform in the capital offering a great view of many landmarks.
Visitors to Panama City should definitely explore the UNESCO-protected Niokolo-Koba National Park, which is one of the most beautiful places in the country. This park covers the territory of a large archipelago consisting of 38 islands. The name of the park comes from the largest of the islands.
