Walking along the embankment of the Dane River, you can discover an unusual attraction - namely, the sailing vessel Meridianas, which is today used as a restaurant. The ship itself was built in Finland after the Second World War, but after it was practically incapacitated, it was decided to repair it. Now such a beautiful ship adorns Klaipeda's harbor. Even if there is no desire to eat here, it's still worth looking at this magnificent creation of engineering genius. An interesting site for tourists is the Birzos Tiltas Bridge, which, very probably, was once crossed by princes and hetmans. It is especially beautiful at night when the lights are lit, giving a special charm to this place.
A wonderful monument of sacred art is Klaipėdos Šv. Kazimiero Bažnyčia, which was built in 1992 in a style typical of the architecture of that time. The architect, Richard Kristapavicius, has managed to construct a functional but at the same time beautiful building. Many travelers and locals love to visit this church because of its acoustics characteristics and a spacious atmosphere that reigns here. The shrine of Klaipėdos Mykolo Apvaizdos Cerkvė built in 2000 in a truly Orthodox style (that is, having a crossed-dome architecture) draws general attention. It is worth noting the shrine's rich interior with beautiful murals on the walls.
