Treviso, Italy: SUV and Offroad Rental Tips
The most popular SUV models offered at rental locations in Treviso are: BMW X3, BMW X5, Toyota Rav4, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sportage, Suzuki Jimny and others.

While selecting your preferred model of an off-road vehicle, please examine the rental conditions. In particular, those requirements that concern credit cards – when it comes to renting an expensive car, sometimes offices in Italy ask information about two credit cards.

Before signing the contract in the rental office upon arrival, check that the invoice figures match with figures in your voucher.

Once the vehicle is assigned, inspect it carefully before leaving the parking. Crossovers and SUVs are often used in tough road conditions, therefore scratches and other exteriour defects are inevitable. Due to this, it is important to check and specify all existing defects in your rental documents.

If you plan to use an off-road vehicle in the mountains, it is recommended to order snow chains. This will save you from unexpected incidents. Other important equipment in Italy are mandatory child seats for travellers with children. OrangeSmile.com wishes you a safe trip and green lights on the roads of Treviso!

Driving Advices for Italy – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
When traveling on the roads of Naples, drivers should be especially careful on parts of roads equipped with traffic lights. According to an unwritten rule, local drivers divide traffic lights into mandatory and the traffic lights installed solely for the “ornamental” purpose. It’s not a rare situation when a local driver keeps driving at the red light, even without slowing down.
Locals who move in the streets of the city on a two-wheeled transport also often make foreign drivers very nervous. Cyclists and moped riders can easily drive very close to cars moving on a one-lane road. The distance between the vehicles in this case can be hardly an inch.
Despite the fact that local drivers are quite temperamental and sometimes very impatient, there are no rude people on the roads of Italy. It is not common to shout out of the windows and express own displeasure in an aggressive form. Local drivers will surely not tolerate such a behavior from foreigners.

A really unusual architectural monument called the Loggia of the Knights is established in the very center of the city. The historic building itself is quite small. Its walls are decorated with ancient frescoes depicting knights. That's how it got its name. The building was constructed in the second half of the 13th century. It has been fully restored just recently and many original decor elements were restored.

A bright monument of the early 14th century is St. Leonardo church. It was built near the hospital, which took the name of the Holy originally. The hospital building has not survived to this day. However, the church continues to operate for more than 600 years. Its first huge reconstruction took place in the middle of the 17th century. The facade was completely changed. The interior, visitors can see today, was created in the 19th century.

The building of the old Town Hall has been preserved in Treviso. It amazes with greatness. Numerous arches and high narrow windows decorate its facade. There is a comfortable rest area with benches in the front. The Town Hall forms a kind of a courtyard. Neighboring buildings are occupied by popular restaurants and cafes.
