Bergamo has many unique historical sites, but walks in historic areas can hardly interest young travelers. One of the few cultural institutions of the city, which will be interesting to visit with children, is the Museo di Scienze Naturali “E. Caffi”. In this nature museum, children will be able to see realistic figures of mammoths and other prehistoric animals, priceless archaeological finds and even play exciting games. In the form of a game, young guests are offered to guess which type of wool belongs to which animal, as well as to get acquainted with a collection of rare minerals.
Those who like to spend time in picturesque natural places, will like the Orto Botanico di Bergamo “Lorenzo Rota”. One of the main features of this botanical garden is that it is out in the open. The children here can run along the paths, walk along the green lawns and in the immediate vicinity, and see rare species of plants and flowers. In the botanical garden, there is a rich collection of cacti and orchids. In the warm season, dragonflies and butterflies fly everywhere. The garden is located on the top of a hill, with a panoramic view of the city.
Parco Della Trucca is no less attractive a place for admiring nature; it also has its unique attractive features. This park occupies a vast territory. It has a lake in which ducks and swans live.
