Dublin International Airport is located 10 km north of the capital of Ireland, near Collinstown. Dublin International Airport has the highest traffic intensity in Ireland. The airport services about 30 million people every year. DUB serves domestic flights, as well as flights within Europe, to North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The airport was built at the site of the air base in 1940. At the airport, there are two air-strips, two passenger terminals, and four landing strips. The Air Border Guard Service ensures the preliminary immigration control upon passengers on the flights to the USA, which reduces the time of this procedure upon their arrival in America. At the airport, there is a rescue service, a police station, and an air police station.
From the airport, you can travel to Dublin by public buses (buses #757, 747 run to the center; Dublin buses #16, 16C, 41, 41 B, 102 go to different districts of the city), taxi or car. There is no railway connection to the city but many buses run through the stations of Dublin and other cities. The airport is linked with the entire territory of Ireland by the bus network. Near the passenger terminal, you can take a licensed taxi at the parking lot.
