In this city, tourists can attend the Center of the National Culture that casts the light upon the traditions of the indigenous people. Moreover, visitors are welcome to participate in interesting master classes. The Asantehene's Palace is considered the main architectural landmark of the city. The city of Tarkwa is located in western Ghana. This is an important mining region. The city doesn’t have many attractions that are interesting for tourists. Its suburbs are, however, a lot more exciting to visit. There are many interesting farms that attract numerous fans of agricultural tourism. There are old gold mines close to Tarkwa that were transformed into tourist objects.

Do you want to spend more time away from vibrant cities? In this case, Volta Region is one of the best places. This part of the country got its name after a lake with the same name. Here, tourists can explore beautiful areas, see rare animals, and even visit interesting historic attractions – fragments of old European forts that have survived until our days. There is the colonial city of Ho not far from the lake. As the city is deserted, it has become an interesting landmark in the open air.

Do you want to try something unusual? If yes, New Tafo in the eastern part of the country is a great destination. This town is mostly famous for old tree nurseries. There are educational excursions for tourists. Visitors can also explore old cocoa plantations and even attend an unusual institute that specializes in studying this important national product.

Bolgatanga is a popular town for everyone who wants to find interesting items and souvenirs in the national style. For several centuries, it has been a large trading center. In this town, visitors can find dozens of artisan shops and factories. This is a wonderful place to buy unique handmade items and, of course, quality gold jewelry. After a walk in colorful markets of this town, tourists can explore its old churches and buildings of the colonial time.

In Accra, there is a large international airport that has a regular connection with different cities of Africa and Europe. Airplanes by Air France from Paris, as well as airplanes by British Airways from London land here. The airport accepts flights from Abidjan at least three times a day. Côte d'Ivoire also has bus connection with Ghana. Finally, it is possible to reach the capital of Ghana by car from Togo using a beautiful coastal highway.
